Google released Gemini 4 Argon globally on 13 October, two weeks after a limited debut for cyber defenders. Developers and businesses can use Argon through the Gemini API and AI Studio, and Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers get it in the Gemini app and AI Mode in Search.
Google DeepMind's Koray Kavukcuoglu wrote that Argon has a 1 million token limit covering both input and output. Google said Argon ranks first on the Vals Index and cut prompt-injection attack success to 0.7% on Gray Swan's benchmark.
In one demo, Google said Argon watched a video of a person playing cornhole and wrote simulation code from it. Run on Apptronik's Apollo humanoid robot, that code sank seven shots in a row in a real-world trial.
